Barb has had her wellness business for 45 years, and she started simply by sharing the products she loved with others. Throughout the decades she learned more about herself and her abilities as a leader, teacher, and mentor. Barb’s Story
[My name is] Barbara Lagoni, and I’ve been in Shaklee for about 45 years.
I just started sharing products that were working for me and I did that for many years. I just kept meeting more and more people and I would [share with them], especially moms with young kids. And that was so gratifying to see people getting better, feeling better, getting their health back, their energy back, and all of that. But I never saw myself as a business person. Shaklee helped me to discover abilities that lie within me…that I just didn’t know. And as I discovered those within myself, I learned how to see them in others and help them see it for themselves.
And that’s how people grow; that’s really the best part of Shaklee and the Shaklee culture. As we learn we turn around and pay it forward. In Shaklee, if you’re willing to invest in yourself, to learn communication skills and people skills and business skills, you can go…as high as you want. And you will have a whole community of people supporting you…along the way.
We love people who just want a small, part-time business on the side. We love people who just want to be a customer. And we cheer people on who step out and are looking to maybe make a bigger impact. And every time you do that you face challenges you’ve never dealt with before. And so…you’re always growing and learning with every new person that you meet; I just…think that’s life at its best.
